Update Direct From Blake Himself…
NEW UPDATE AFTER BOSTON AND ON TO WALES
Well we are now done with the Boston stop number 5 and looking forward to the big UK stop in wales.
Boston was amazing and there was a crowed of 45,000 spectators simply an amazing atmosphere.
Boston was my best result so far with the injury still playing a massive part of the problems I’ve had since the first stop in France.
Never the less I was able to bring a new world’s hardest dive to the tour and a new world record which I competed in the final.
The dive is a back arm stand back 2.5 summersault with a massive 4 twists, I was the first person in the world to do the same dive with one less twist in 2009 but have now added one more twist, the video clearly shows how much of a massive dive this is.
Now Boston is over Wales is the next tour stop but I’m just on a plane for now on my way to Barcelona for a ford commercial shoot and some warm weather training for a few days, ill be flying home and doing the red bull promotional dive in the Thames esotery to publicize the wales stop and then ill be on my way strait to wales for the 6th red bull stop.
I’m looking forward to wales as it will be the first time the red bull cliff diving world tour has come all the way to England, competing in front of a home crowd is going to be something special and of course ill be doing the new dive as well and hoping that the leg is good enough to hold up and get me on to the podium for the first time this year.
Do keep a look out at redbullcliffdiving.com for results and info on the rest of the tour and I look forward to having my sponsor Apogee Corporation, there to see me jump from these dizzy heights and hope to make them very proud. Bring on the 6th stop in St David’s blue lagoon wales on the 7th and 8th of September and thanks to apogee for your on going support with out you none of this would be possible.
